This Wednesdays playlist from Will is jam packed with indie and rock sounds that will hopefully let you dance away those mid week blues.
Eliza And The Bear – Friends
Introducing five friends from London, Eliza And The Bear used to just sing together in order to vent their creativity but now tour the country with their talent. They released their self-titled debut album last year so hopefully we’ll have more to look forward to from this band soon.
Peace - Follow Baby
English rock quartet from Worcester, Peace have been called everything from Britpop to psychedelic rock. The song here, Follow Baby was their first single that they released themselves in the form of only 500 vinyl copies.
Frightened Rabbit - Acts Of Man
Originally from Scotland, this indie rock band have been on my musical radar for some time now, not only for their talent but also for their generosity. Frightened Rabbit have worked closely in the past with the charity Invisible Children who "uses film, creativity and social action to end the use of child soldiers in Joseph Kony's rebel war and restore LRA-affected communities in Central Africa to peace and prosperity."
The Twang - Drinking in LA
Originally from Birmingham, The Twang in their early days were known for swapping around their instruments which allowed them to experiment more with their sound.
Sundara Karma - Indigo Puff (LAYLA Rework)
Often compared to bands such as Arcade Fire and U2, Sundara Karma are an English indie pop/indie rock from Reading. Their name Sundara is actually a Sanskrit word that means “beautiful” or “noble”.
Sunset Sons – Remember
Sunset Sons are a band quite personal to me as they are also British-Australian. They've been associated with bands such as Imagine Dragons, when they supported them on their European arena tour, They have also worked with producers such as Jacquire King, who is famous for working with bands such as Kings of Leon, Tom Waits and Of Monsters and Men.
