Whilst the tickets are being sent out in the post, the excitement is already setting in, you haven't even thought about packing...
So we steer slightly of the music topic here but you know, it's essential to know the essentials of a festival. Here are my top five things you need to think about when packing for the festival season.
1. The Tent
Cheap and cheerful, don't spend over the odds because chances are you wont be bringing it home after the antics and weather changes of a festival.
2. The Food
The food vans you'll find dotted around the camps are expensiiiveeee to say the least, so I suggest packing yourselves a few pot noodles, bread and crisps (to make lush crisp sandwiches) and only buy when you have to
3. The Clothes
Don't be splurging on a whole new outfit, because as we all know, the British weather isn't the most reliable so be sure to have your wellingtons at the ready. Borrow some of your Dad's old shirts so it looks oversized, edgy and cool over your shorts.
4. The Toiletries
If you're an experienced festival-er you'll know that taking the best of Superdrug's body washes and shampoo is a waste of your time. If you're new to this, this is me telling you to scrap them. The showers are gross and you'll definitely prefer to smell than use them. Stock up on deodorant and dry shampoo and you'll be just dandy,
5. Bring the Sun Screen
While it may be forecast cloud, don't take the risk, because the sun manages to catch us out at the best of times.
And that's all folks, happy festival season!
