Ed Sheeran's Twitter Fail

What does #sheeranalbumparty mean? And do I want to know? Yes of course we do!

The chart smashing singer, Ed Sheeran, has fallen victim to a rather unfortunate Twitter hashtag: #sheeranalbumparty. This viral hashtag comes courtesy of BBC Radio 1 DJ, Greg James.
This hashtag - which is a lesson to all of us about the importance of capitalisation, is James' tribute to the 2012 Susan Boyle fail.

It's not the first time Twitter has giggled about anal bum parties. When #susanalbumparty first appeared in 2012, it was to promote her album party. However, no one at her record label managed to spot the innuendo blunder.
As Ed's surname also ends with 'an' it was just too tempting for the DJ. Twitter is once again going into overdrive.
Sadly, the Galway Girl singer is yet to comment on the Twitter trend (we hope he finds it as funny as we do!)
UPDATE:
Since this post was first published, Ed has broken his silence on the matter. Going straight to the source, he replied to Greg's tweet (see above) with a humorous quip.
