Chrvrches, being an upcoming band in the alternative charts, means this has to be on this week’s Monday Madness playlist. The Scottish trio specialise in synth pop, this absolute tune being no exception, with its quirky and upbeat tempo. This track also introduces the indie pop and electronic element that the band also display through the their album Every Open Eye.

Pat Benator - Hit Me With Your Best Shot

More than three decades since the release of this 80's classic, Pat Benator still maintains her popularity, both on and off the stage. As her website says, 'She's a bonafide living legend', and who can argue with that really? This song was also performed by Catherine Zeta-Jones in the 2012 musical film Rock Of Ages.

Take That- Rule the World

Forget One Direction and The Vamps, take it back to the 90's when the wonder that is Take That formed in a not-so little city called Manchester. Released in 2006 as the soundtrack for the film Stardust, the boy band also opened the London 2012 Olympics...If that isn't the benchmark for stardom, who knows what is.

Bruno Mars- 24K Magic

When this banger made it's way across the pond and into our charts, Bruno knew it wouldn't be a song easily forgotten by any means. The funky melody and synth-heavy base of this tune means uncontrollable dance moves are on the way; it's not a choice. Perfect for a Monday full of madness.

Bon Jovi- Wanted Dead or Alive

All the 80's classic's are making a double appearance this week, and why not? The decades holds some amazing belters that we all still love a sing along to. Bon Jovi released this song in 1987, peaking in the charts at number 7. While those born prior to the 80's will remember this song in it's true form. younger audiences are most likely to recognise it as the theme song for the programme Deadliest Catch.
