Friday’s here! Time to turn it up and feel-good!

When you’re listening to The L.A Song, if you close your eyes it almost feels like your chilling out in Venice Beach, bathing in the warm L.A sun. This hidden hip-hop gem comes from the underground rap group People Under The Stairs. The group have gained a cult following over the years and are known for their feel-good rap tracks.

It’s been a great month for Chance, with the rapper picking up three Grammys recently, including one for this song, which won best rap performance. Chance is known for his gospel-inspired, feel-good melodies and vocals and this track perfectly encapsulates the 23 year old’s happy and upbeat style.

Maroon 5Sunday Morning

This feel-good track from the group's seminal album Songs About Jane is over ten years old now, but it still sounds as good as the day it was released. The track mixes the group’s awesome lyrical storytelling with some cool keys, smooth guitar and funky drums.

Sea SpanWinter Sublet

This chilled out track is the perfect song to wake up to on your feel-good Friday. Coming from underground Philly outfit Sea Span, this laidback track is the perfect song to get you smiling.

This band described their genre as Dream Pop and, depending on who you ask, Dream Pop is either the next big thing or regular pop with a few pan pipes thrown in. Either way, Work Drugs know how to make a great feel-good track. Having supported the likes of Two Door Cinema Club and the group Peter, Bjorn and John, this band is definitely one to keep an eye on.

CakeLove You Madly

If you can get over the slightly odd name of this US group, they’ve certainly got a lot to offer. Love You Madly is a great example of how the band mixes simple instrumentation with creative melodies.

Ending this week's Feel-Good Friday on an epic 80's tune, Jane definitely has it all. Epic keyboard? check. Guitars that are turned up to 11? Check. Over the top lead vocals? Check. Jefferson Starship weren’t always this glam though. The group first became famous with tracks like White Rabbit and Somebody To Love under the slightly altered name Jefferson Airplane. The group decided to switch up their style towards the end of the decade and I think it’s safe to say it was a great choice!
