Top 10 Festivals in Europe

Festivals are getting bigger and better each year. So, here at Chooniverse we thought it would be fitting to let you know about some of the best in Europe. I chose the best priced with some of the best artists playing so you didn't have to search the web.

Held in the Petrovaradin Fortress in Serbia it has been named as one of the most successful festivals in southeastern Europe. Alumni of this event include the likes of The Prodigy, Wiz Khalifa, The Vaccines, Bastille and many more. This year's line-up certainly matches up to previous years with Liam Gallagher, Jake Bugg and Rag'n'Bone Man to name a few of their headliners.

Lovebox began it's epic journey back in 2003 when Groove Armada and Jools played a one day special on Clapham Common for 10,000 people. A year later it grew to 20,000 and expanded until they moved to 2005 to Victoria park to create the festival we know today. It is now one of the most well known festivals in the UK and has landed the one and only Frank Ocean as this year's headline act.

Formerly known as The Parklife Weekender, Parklife is an independent festival held in Heaton Park. The festival was originally held in Platt Fields Park, Rusholme, but had to move to accommodate the increasing number of attendees. Frank Ocean will also be headlining at this festival; however, his performance at Parklife will be his first in the UK since 2013.

4) FIB

The Festival Internacional de Benicàssim, often abbreviated to FIB, is a Spanish festival known across Europe for its great line-up and late night shows. The festival began in 1995 and continues to bring good vibes and a weekend to remember. This year's line-up includes Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Weeknd, Kasabian and many more.

Outlook Festival started as a miniature StubDub, an event held in Leeds, hosting a range of music genres in Croatia. This is another festival held in the ruins of a fort and the surrounding beaches using its tunnels and turrets as stages. Dizzee Rascal will be kick starting the event at their opening party.

When / Where: 7-10 September / Fort Punta Christo, Croatia

Held on the island Pag, Croatia, this festival bagged a place on The Guardian's list of best European festivals of 2011 which was the same year it opened. Since then it has sold out every year and with a host of activities, such as boat parties during the day and headline acts in the evening, its not surprising.

When / Where: 26-30 June / Zcre Beach, Croatia

This is one of the more expensive festivals on our list, but we promise it is worth every penny. Previous acts include Above & Beyond, Afrojack and Deadmou5. It is part of Ultra Music Festival's worldwide expansion and is hosted in twenty countries. It has taken off so well it now last seven days and includes an opening party, three-day festival, yacht parties, Ultra Beach and a closing party so you'll have plenty to keep you busy.

Sziget is one of the largest European festivals and has one Best Major European Festival at the European Festival Awards twice. Festival goers gather from all over Europe to attend and never are never disappointed. This year's line-up includes Major Lazer, Flume and Two Door Cinema Club.

When / Where: 9-16 August / Budapest, Hungary

Price: £184.80

One of the most renowned festivals in the world, Isle of Wight Festival was born in 1968. Sadly, due to the large influx of people to the island it was shut down in 1970. It was revived in 2002 and has won several awards since then. Acts at this year's event include Run DMC, David Guetta and Rod Stewart.

Creamfields is one of the largest dance music festival in the UK. The festival has gained more recognition each year and was named Festival of the Year in the 2010 Music Week Awards. Creamfields continues to move around the world gaining more and more popularity,
