There isn’t a genre that can cause an argument of musical taste quite like rap. You either love it or you hate it, so this week’s playlist from Will showcases some of his favourite poets that you might not have heard before.

DJ Shadow feat. Run The Jewels - Nobody Speak (Official Video)

I can’t say anything about our first pick before mentioning something about this song's music video. If our politicians meetings were more like this then there’s no doubt that they would be much more entertaining to watch, but lead to war a lot quicker. The song features El-P and Killer Mike from Run the Jewels and was first released as part of their Record Store Day release.

Hopsin - ILL Mind of Hopsin 8

Hopsin has been one of my favourite artists for 7 years now and he has only ever improved his style and talent. This song marks a key change in his musical career, following his split from long time record label Funk Volume. Hopsin has always stayed true to his beliefs and views of the hip hop scene, as his negative comments towards his industry only add to his controversy.

Shelton HarrisCoattails

Shelton Harris is one of the less known artists on this list, however, that in no way reflects his standing as a rapper. Based in Seattle, Washington his song Coattails embodies the struggles of trying to make it in such a cut throat industry.

Sam Lachow featuring Ariana DeBoo - Stolen Bikes

Boasting about how he has been making videos since elementary school, Sam Lachow is definitely one of the least shy on this list. Hailing from Seattle as well this artists has developed quite a following in his home town and is known for keeping his friends around him despite his growing notoriety.

DUMBFOUNDEAD- GANGHIS KHAN

Jonathan Park, better known as Dumbfoundead, is an Argentinian born Rapper raised in L.A. Sticking to his Korean roots he was exposed to the hip-hop scene at the age of 10, an perfected his craft until calling it his career at the age of 17.

Aer - Floats My Boat

Anything by David von Mering and Carter Schultz always reminds me of summer, this young indie US band from Massachusetts first started attracted attention after their first debut studio album, The Bright Side in 2012. Since then the two have made a mutual decision to stop making music together, but since there were no hard feelings we might not have seen the last of Aer.

Logic - All I Do

You might not like his music but you cannot deny it doesn’t take some skill to do what Logic does. Known to his friends and family as Robert Bryson Hall II, it seems as if Logic doesn’t take a break when it comes to making music.
