First timer? That's okay. There's nothing to be afraid of, I have just the solution to all your festival worries...
You want to go, but you're not sure which one to go to. It's your first time and you want one to ease you in before you commit to the mammoth that is Glastonbury.
Leeds and Reading Festival are great for a beginner, and I say so, because it was my first festival as a young teen.
My mum was sceptical about letting my niave sixteen-year old self head to a giant field surrounded by thousands of strangers for the big August bank holiday weekend too, but I told her not to worry. I went, I survived, and I'm here to tell the story of the best weekend of my life.
Here's what you need to know...
1. Leeds and Reading are smaller festivals in perimeter, but still two of the most well known.
2. They have stewards at every corner to help you with any worries you may be having.
3. Most of the stewards have been to Leeds or Reading before so they know what they're talking about. Even you can be a steward if you like, found out how here.
4. Leeds and Reading has showcased some of the biggest acts including: Mumford and Sons, Arctic Monkeys and Foo Fighters.
5. This year, Kasabian, Eminem and Muse are all headlining. All of which have played the festival before. There has to be a reason they keep going back right?
There's no age bias, so whenever you feel like you're ready for the festival scene head to their website to find out more.
Tickets start at £70 for a day ticket and £205 for the weekend (thurs-mon)
