Welcome to this weeks feel-good Friday playlist! This week we’ve got Funk, House and a bit of Reggae-inspired Dance. Enjoy!
This banger from Dance legends Groove Armada is guaranteed to make you feel great. From the incredible album, Lovebox, this track will have you smiling as well as dancing.
Fatboy Slim – Rockafeller Skank
What is the Rockafeller Skank I hear you ask? Probably only God, John Rockafeller and Fatboy Silm know the actual answer. Either way, whatever your interpretation of the odd title to this track is, it’s still bound to have you smiling!
Orbital – Chime
This 90s banger works on a simple principle: pick a perfect synth, throw in some old-school bass lines and repeat. It’s a simple track, but sometimes less is more. A classic, feel good track, this song fully deserves its place on this playlist.
Utah Saints – Something Good
A staple of any fitness playlist, this track is great for the treadmill as well as the dance floor. Although most people might think of the late noughties remix before the 90s version, the original cannot be beaten. A timeless, feel good classic tune.
Chromeo - Tenderoni
So the name of this song may sound a little like a knock-off Lidl version of Pepperami, but don’t let its delicatessen inspired title mislead you, this track is made of 100 per cent funk!
Thundercat – Oh Sheit It’s X!
First things first, any artist called Thundercat is bound to bring the feel good vibes. This 70s inspired track has got an awesome bass line as well as great falsetto vocals. You might recognise Thundercat’s style from some of the work he did on the incredible Kendrick Lamar album To Pimp A Butterfly.
