Are you ready to feel old? These songs are celebrating their tenth birthdays this year. Let's take a look at the best beats from 2007...
Rihanna - Umbrella
Rihanna was discovered by Jay-Z at The age of 16. A fresh-faced 16-year-old Rihanna was spotted in Barbados by record executive Evans Rogers and was quickly noticed by Jay-Z who wasted no time in signing her up to a contract at his label Def Jam.
Umbrella is a song by Barbadian singer Rihanna from her third studio album Good Girl Gone Bad (2007). It features non-other than American rapper Jay-Z.
Avril Lavigne - Girlfriend
Well this certainly summarises life as in the noughties. Avril, as most of you will remember, was the undisputed bad ass queen of pop. There was no tween who didn't know all the words to this ultimate jam when it came on at the beyond bleak school disco.
Justin Timberlake - What Goes Around...(Comes Around)
What Goes Around ... is rumoured to be about the love life of a friend of Timberlake, Trace Ayala. Trace and his relationship with Elisha Cuthbert. It also is rumoured that the song talks about the relationship the two had in the TV series 24.
Perhaps one of the band's most memorable transformations took to the stage in 2007. The Black Parade is a rock opera centering around the character of "The Patient". It is about his passage out of life and the memories he has. It was named one of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs That Shaped Rock and Roll.
Immediately after its release, Beautiful Liar reached number one on the iTunes best-seller list in March 2007. It is one of the few singles to debut at number one on both the US Hot Digital Tracks chart and US Hot Digital Songs chart.
