Let's kick off 2017 with Chooniverse's first playlist of the year, and what better way to start that with a sneak peak at what's going on in the non-stop world of music...
Ed Sheeran and Rudimental - Bloodstream
The singer was one of many who decided it was time to give social media a rest, but unlike many of the others, he stuck to his word and has been silent on all channels for the last year. Ed broke his silence on Twitter. The singer-songwriter, 25 posted a silent video to tease his third album on the first day of the new year, promising fans new music on Friday.

After his break from the spotlight, he has promised fans he would be back with his third album, which he called “the best thing I have made so far”.
Ariana Grande - Side To Side ft. Nicki Minaj
Ariana Grande will feature as an avatar in a Final Fantasy game. It'll be used in the free mobile release of Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and it's "the cutest" character the pop singer has ever seen.

Celine Dion - My Heart Will Go On
While this news isn't to do with Celine, it is about the Titanic, just not the film. The sinking of the RMS Titanic may have been caused by an enormous fire on board, not by hitting an iceberg in the North Atlantic, experts have claimed, as new evidence has been published to support the theory.
London Grammar - Rooting For You
London Grammar have shared their new single Rooting For You, marking the group’s first new music since debut album If You Wait in 2013. Two versions of the song have been released. The first is a radio-friendly cut, whilst the band have also shared a live version, featuring around two minutes of acappella.
Mariah Carey - We Belong Together
The whole internet has been kicking up a storm following the singer's New Year performance. After supposed 'technical' difficulties, Mariah was exposed for lip syncing, and Dick Clark's production was blamed for sabotage.
