Welcome to this week's throwback where we'll be having a listen to all things 2009...

After it was announced Kasabian would be making a 2017 comeback, it was clear they deserved our throwback. This week we'll be taking a look back at the chart toppers and Chonniverse favourites of 2009, the year Fire dominated the music scene.

Kasabian - Fire

Kasabian have announced three big summer gigs in Italy next year and more dates are sure to follow. The band are currently working on the follow-up to 2014’s 48:13. Having stormed Glastonbury in 2014 and their epic homecoming show to celebrate Leicester City FC’s victory. The rumour mill is alive with talk that the midlands boys will be headlining Reading and Leeds Festival 2017.

Taylor Swift - Love Story

Queen of the transformation. Long before she donned flaming red hair and black leather jumpsuits in Bad Blood, and before she broke the internet with her Grammy winning album, 1989, she was a country sweetheart. Love Story was the lead single off her second studio album, Fearless. Fearless saw her pick up her first Grammy Award.

Pixie Lott - Mama Do (Uh Oh Uh Oh)

This break out track is a song by English recording artist Pixie Lott from her debut album, Turn It Up (2009). In an interview with Digital Spy, the singer said: "It's about sneaking out the house and going to see a specific person without your parents knowing about it. It's a really cool song because it suits my age and I can relate to it. I mean, there have been a couple of occasions when I might have sneaked out the house and not told my mum and dad."

JLS - Beat Again

Well a lot has changed for the X-Factor alumni since their chart topper, Beat Again. As many boy bands do, they had their day in the sun before gracefully moving aside for the new meat. In the three years since they parted way, Marvin Humes is a regular presenter on Capital FM and Aston Merrygold is a judge on Got To Dance.

Michael Bublé - Haven't Met You Yet

The king of Christmas, captain of crooners. It's hard to believe this festive classic was released seven-years-ago. Most of the tracks off the album were recorded live because Bublé did not want his album to sound overproduced and slick.
