What's going on in the world of music? We've got the latest...
Now we're coming to the end of November, talking about Christmas and New Year is starting to become acceptable. That is no different for the music industry. Over that last two days a frenzy of 2016 lists (best albums, best newcomers, etc.) have been released so there's plenty of juicy news to get your hands on.
David Bowie - Black Star
The BBC are gearing up to announce their album of the year and have opened up the polls. They are asking for people to get in touch, Tweet them, to have their say in 2016's album of the year. One of the front runners, is David Bowie, whose album, Black Star, was released at the start of the year. Since the concept album's release and the singer's death in January, more and more information about the album has come forward. Fans have warmed to how personal the album is.
Rod Stewart - Forever Young
Rod Stewart will join Arcade Fire as a headliner at next summer's Isle Of Wight festival. The event takes place on 8-11 June at Seaclose Park in Newport. Rod will top the festival bill on the Sunday night - a slot held earlier this year by Queen and Adam Lambert.
Ed Sheeran - Bloodstream ft. Rudimental
The 25-year-old singer was taken to hospital over the weekend to have stitches after Princess Beatrice sliced open his cheek. When the Princess was pretending to 'knight' James Blunt, she flung the sword over her shoulder without realising who was behind her.
Justin Timberlake - Can't Stop the Feeling
With so many lists coming out, there were almost too many to choose from when putting together this playlist. There was, however, one winner who couldn't miss out. And that, of course, is Justin Timberlake. Only, the award he's won, is for the worst song of 2016. Ouch. The award from Time Magazine is for the singer's song specially written for animated film, Trolls. Have a listen and tell us what you think on Twitter.
Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill
For the first time in 30 years, Kate Bush is not only in the albums chart, she's sat at the top of it. Her latest record, Before the Dawn, features recordings from her 2014 Hammersmith Apollo London residency.
Beyoncé - Hold Up
Another winner. Beyoncé's album, Lemonade has been crowned best album of the year by Rolling Stone. Other albums to snap up a place in the top ten include David Bowie's Black Star, Frank Ocean's Blond and Chance the Rapper's Coloring Book.
Jack Garratt - Surprise Yourself
The BBC's Sound of 2017 long list has officially been released. Now we just play the waiting game to find out who is most tipped for 2017 success. Sound of 2016, Jack Garratt says he's impressed by the "diverse" long list for the BBC Sound of 2017.
