Welcome to this weeks Mellow Monday playlist...
This playlist is the perfect way to start off the week. Whether it’s for a long commute to work or a chilled study session, hit play, sit back and mellow out.
Natty feat. Roots Manuva - Bedroom Eyes (Roots Manuva remix)
This smooth track from UK artists Natty and Roots Manuva is the perfect way to
kick off your Monday. A remix to the track Bedroom Eyes by Natty, this Dub-
inspired track perfectly blends Natty’s chilled style with Roots Manuva’s iconic
rapping. Anything with Roots’ on it is sure to be a great song, so enjoy these two
British heavyweights on this track this Monday.
The Drums - Let’s Go Surfing
This Beach Boys inspired indie track will take you right back to the 2000’s, with a
sound that came straight out of the Noughties Indie scene. The best song to open
your curtains up to this Monday, this track will make you swear you’re on a
sunny beach on Cali rather than a rainy cul-de- sac in Southampton. A feel good
song to kick off the week, you’ll be whistling this song from Monday to Sunday.
Odesza -Caribou
Laid-back vocals combined with spacey synths make this Odesza track a perfect
edition to the Mellow Monday playlist. This track’s name is incredibly confusing
as well as the band’s name itself as Odesza is the name of a Ukrainian city and
Caribou is the name of a species who habit Northern America. This makes for a
few weird Wikipedia discoveries when trying to find this song! Either way, it’s a
great mellow track for you Monday morning.
Asher Roth -Tangerine Girl
This super chilled rap track from Asher Roth blends spacey vocals with some
smooth guitar playing and Asher’s cool flow. Roth perfectly mixes his effortless
style with a relaxed guitar melody to create a track that’s perfect for this Mellow
Monday playlist.
