If you’ve had an emotional roller-coaster this week Smooth Sunday got your back…
Bastille – Flaws
With Bastille’s new album out and becoming a huge hit, neglecting their previous album could be easy. Flaws, from their album Bad Blood, is an extremely relatable song. It is about being jealous of someone who is comfortable in their own skin and wanting help to accept their own imperfections.
HONNE are an electronic soul band formed in 2014 who base themselves in London. Although they are not very well known yet, they have had several sell out gigs and performed at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend.
I’m Not The Only One is a bit of a tear jerker. Knowing that your partner is not being faithful is undeniably one of the worst feelings you can have. Smith somehow manages to pull at your heart strings even if you have not had to endure that heart break.
William Singe – Hotline Bling
William Singe became one of the kings of Spotify in 2015 by reaching the top spot on
Spotify’s US Viral 50 chart with his cover of Drake’s Hotline Bling. Single turned Drake’s
sensation into a slow and emotional tune and recorded it in his home. It quickly became his
most popular video on his YouTube channel with over 13 million views.
The Weeknd – True Colors
The Weeknd’s new album Starboy has not yet been released into the UK album charts, but it is set to be extremely popular. The album contains collaborations with Daft Punk, Lana Del Ray, Kendrick Lama and Future. True Colors is a story of getting to know a girl for who she really is as opposed to who she wants the world to know her as. The Weeknd hasn't released a music video just yet, but we hope he does soon.
