Step back in time this Wednesday as Will has put together a playlist full of songs which came out before 2000, don't forget to let us know what you think!

James - Sit Down

We're first off to Manchester with rock-band James. Forming in 1982, the band was most successful during the 1990s and as of 2010 have sold more than 25 million albums worldwide. Most recently they played in Paris in 2016, which if you'd like to see more of you can find here.

Faith No More - King for a Day

Crossing the Atlantic to get to San Francisco we have Faith No More, a rock band from the 1980s who dispite breaking up in 1998 have since reunited and released their seventh studio album, Sol Invictus, in May 2015.

Sonic Youth - Kool Thing

Across to the East coast of America now with Sonic Youth, a rock band from New York City. What made Sonic Youth different to other bands in the 1980s/90s was their choice in custom instruments which gave way to their unique sound.

Creed - My Own Prison

I apologise for the slight change in tone, as for this entry on the list we are sticking in America but travelling to Florida with grunge band Creed. Although generally thought to of been a rock group, you can definitely hear lead vocalist Scott Stapp's influences of Jim Morrison shine through his music.

Manic Street Preachers - Nat West-Barclays-Midlands-Lloyds

Lastly we're back in the U.K. this time in Wales with rock group Manic Street Preachers. Forming in 1986 the band are still going today and are one of my favourite artists to "stick it to the man". With influences like the Clash and the Sex Pistols, the Manics have been trying to bring back revolution in rock music stating especially "at a time when Britain was dominated by trancey shoegazers and faceless, trippy acid house".
